Mountain Instruments MI-250 Equatorial Mount *Click images to enlarge

(Below) My imaging and viewing setup is as follows: Meade10" LX200R, Televue NP-127, and my .990 Strehl, Carbon Fiber TMB 80/480 all mounted on my Mountain Instruments 250.  My imagers are the SBIG ST-10XME w/CFW10 (LRGB + Ha, Sll, Olll) and a ST-402 autoguider w/LRGB filters.  This all comes to just 60lbs. and well within the mount's payload capacity.  WhooYa!...

(Below) The RA worm gear assembly.

This is what we pay the big bucks for and it shows in the very high quality of craftsmanship.  Larry Myers diamond laps the worm gear and worm as a set in order to attain the 3-5 arc/sec uncorrected periodic error we all love to have.  With a good PEC training PE gets down to around +0.7", -0.6"

The Mountain Instruments MI-250 above is my new pride and joy.  Having learned to image on my old LX200 mount, this blows it's socks off!
