Red-shouldered Hawk 4/19/09

At the end of my driveway. The Red-shouldereds don't often hunt my bird feeders, but they had young in a nest at this time of year, and they seem to hunt birds more when feeding youngsters.

Great Horned Owl 1/18/06

Great Horned Owl 11/25/07

A rainy, cold day. Something must have disturbed this owl from its usual roost. It stayed put all day, in spite of numerous protestors.

Great Horned Owl 11/25/07

The Blue Jays were the most vocal and persistent of the protesters.
